The Institute for Politics and Economy of Southeast Europe and the Transatlantic Leadership Network signed a Memorandum of Cooperation

Washington (United States of America), May 22, 2024 – The Institute for Politics and Economy of Southeast Europe from Belgrade (IPESE) and the Transatlantic Leadership Network from Washington (TLN) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the Field of International Relations, Economic Development, Innovation, Rule of Law and Transatlantic Relations.

The Memorandum was signed in the US Congress on the sidelines of the two-day international conference Southeast Europe Transatlantic Economic Forum, and was signed by Dušan Žarković, Executive Director of IPESE, and Ambassador John Craig, Member of the TLN Advisory Board.

“Together with our American partners, we wish to work on developing an open society and raising democratic capacities to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Balkan region,” Žarković said on this occasion.

The Memorandum establishes principles for the development of future cooperation between the two organizations in the fields of international relations, economic development, innovation, rule of law and transatlantic relations. The document focuses on enabling faster Euro-Atlantic integration by advocating for policies of peace, cooperation and tolerance, which are of vital importance for the stability and economic growth of the Southeast European region.
